Niagara Childrens Foundation Gerry and Rose Frainier Scholarship
Criteria: Applicant must be a current employee of Niagara Cerebral Palsy including all full time and part time employees who have worked for the organization a full time equivalent of two years. (Approximately 3,000 hours). Allowable reimbursable expenses will include graduate, undergraduate, or junior college course from an accredited institution. Recipients of scholarships will be required to remain in the employ of NCP for a period of time equivalent to the time spent in their educational endeavors. Recipients will be required to successfully complete the course and receive a passing grade. Appropriate documentation to verify the successful completion must be provided to the Executive Director / CEO in order to receive the scholarship award. In addition, the Foundation will also reimburse employees of NCP for expense at seminars and or conferences. The Foundation will also pay to have select individuals present training programs to NCP staff. The Foundation will also support the area of assistive technology. It will consider requests for such items as adaptive aids, adaptive computers, etc.
Procedure: 1) Complete Scholarship application and submit to Division Director 2) For reimbursement for Seminars and/or Conferences, complete Seminar/Conference Application and submit to Division Director 3) Submit letter to Division Director to request reimbursement for seminars. Requests will then be considered by the Foundation Board. 4) Requests for Assistive Technology can be in letter form and submitted to Joseph Mineo, Executive Director/CEO
Scholarship applicants are to complete a Niagara Children's Foundation Scholarship application and submit the application to their respective Division Director, ex. Residential The Division Director will then forward the completed application with his/her recommendation to the Executive Director/CEO of NCP. The Executive Director/CEO, as Secretary/Treasurer of the Foundation, will present the Application for consideration by the Foundation Board. The Board will establish the amount of each Scholarship and the number of Scholarships which will be granted.
Eligible employees are encouraged to apply. Successful applicants will be expected to provide documentation that he/she has successfully completed the course work and receive a passing grade.
